Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber hopped on their bikes for a trip to the Farmers Market in LA on Saturday. Alexander came along and was treated to rides in his baby bike carrier and on his dad's shoulders before hitting the bouncy castle. This family seems to have mastered the combination of fun and fitness, and maybe soon the newest member of the clan can join in.

Naomi Watts took a break from filming Mother and Child yesterday to spend the afternoon on the beach in Marina Del Ray, CA, taking photos and playing with her son Alexander. She's back on the West Coast after her trip to NYC for a screening of The International, where she opened up about Alexander's first words. She said, "other than 'mom' and 'dad,' 'turtle' is his favorite one." He probably didn't see any of those by the sea, but that's what trips to the zoo with his dad are for.

Liev Schreiber took Alexander to the park earlier today while Naomi Watts ran some errands around LA. Liev's been promoting Defiance, but now it's Naomi's turn to start the interview circuit for her film The International. She recently spoke to Parade about getting advice from Nicole Kidman, how she met Heath Ledger, and whether marriage to Liev is a possibility. Here are some highlights:

• On remembering when she met Heath: "I hadn't really been that familiar with his work. Then, when I got to the set and did that first scene with him, I was like, 'Wow! This guy is alive.' It was just something deep in his eyes. You could look into them, and they would tell a thousand stories in one glance. There was a wonderful mixture of power and fragility at work in everything he did, which just pulls you in. His strength didn't scare you. It intrigued you. And his fragility touched you [...] It's still incredibly difficult."
• On Liev: "I started out living in LA, and then I met this guy who hates LA! He’s a complicated man, which I’ve always been drawn toward in men. He’s fiercely intelligent."
• On her thoughts about marriage: "It's not like I’ve grown up having this dream of a fairy-tale wedding. My mother married twice and had two divorces. And Liev comes from the same kind of background. Maybe one day we’ll just wake up and go, 'Hey, let's do this.' And maybe not. He and I have a family. We're very much together. We just don't have that certificate, and that's okay with both of us. He gave me a beautiful ring, although I'm not wearing it right now."

It is always sad to hear about Heath from his friends, but Naomi seems happy and busy in her life right now with her three special boys.

Last night the 2008 National Board of Review Awards Gala was held at Cipriani's in NYC and once again the ladies were dressed to impress. Sexy Salma continues her fabulous fashion streak and Naomi Watts looks like a million bucks after baby. Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber arrived back at their apartment in NYC yesterday with their boys Alexander and Samuel before attending a premiere of his new movie Defiance at night. It's been a busy few weeks for their family with Samuel's birth in December and Liev promoting his film - and he's apparently starting to feel the strain of it all. He recently opened up about the realities of having two kids under 15 months, saying, "I am struggling, though. It’s f*ing hard. So little sleep. It’s 23 hours and 59 minutes of exhaustion. But then they do one little thing in that last minute that is just so compelling and fascinating that it makes the other 23 hours and 59 minutes worthwhile." Sounds like the two boys are exhausting and rewarding already, but Naomi and Liev look happy to have each other through it all.

Aw, check out baby Samuel Schreiber! Naomi Watts carefully carried her newborn son out of their apartment and across the treacherous icy and snowy sidewalk on their way to the car in NYC this morning. Liev followed right behind with the new big bother, Alexander. Samuel may have come too late in the year to win lil's new celebaby addition title, but this sweetheart looks adorable already all dressed up in his red hat, right in time to be the best holiday present his family could ever ask for.

Clive Owen was in the London Underground Sunday working on his new movie, The Boys Are Back in Town. We haven't seen as much of Clive since he filmed Duplicity with Julia Roberts over the Summer, though it doesn't appear to have diminished anyone's love for him since he's currently holding his own in our Sexiest Men of 2008 poll. Fortunately, there's a whole lot of Clive coming our way in 2009 — on top of the release of his film with Julia, he's set to kick off the Berlin Film Festival in February with The International alongside his costar and new mom again, Naomi Watts.
