While the crowing jewel of award season, the Academy Awards, are Sunday this whole week is full of actors rewarding each other including yesterday's First Annual Essence Black Women In Hollywood luncheon. Jada Pinkett Smith was one of the women of the afternoon and Will was on hand to present the award to his wife for everything that she has done in Hollywood. Tom and Katie (love her shoes) were there to help celebrate and speak about their friend alongside Kerry Washington, Gabrielle Union and Vivica A. Fox just to name a few. Best Supporting Actress Oscar nominee and possible record-breaker Ruby Dee also received an award at the luncheon and who knows, her mantel may be even more full by the end of the weekend!

Glamour magazine hosted a lunch in support of the 10th anniversary of V-Day. The cause is to raise awareness to stop violence against women and girls. These ladies who lunched looked amazing. Even in a plain simple LBD Katie Holmes looked sassy. Newly Engaged Ali Larter was bright and beautiful. Jessica Alba who has kept herself really busy during her pregnancy with a photoshoot earlier that day was accompanied by her fiance and baby daddy, Cash Warren who happened to be celebrating his birthday as well. Being surrounded by all these women must have been a great way to spend the day.

Last night in LA, fabulous ladies came out for L'Oreal Paris and Harper's Bazaar's A Night of Hope party. Eva looked like a fancy valentine on the red carpet getting all cozy with cute Kerry Washington. Bella wants to know what you think of Brittany Murphy as a brunette, but overall her looks seems a little too severe. Diane Keaton and Jaime Pressley both went with the coat look for the red carpet, marking what was probably the only time ever that these two actresses were even vaguely twinsies. The event was in support of The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, something that is close to home for all women. Excellent to see these ones getting glammed up to support a great cause.

Jennifer Hudson, Linda Evangelista and Kerry Washington were just a few of the fashionistas that celebrated at the Fashion Group International's Night of Stars in NYC on Thursday night. The theme of the night was "The Rule Breakers" and the event honored designers that included Jean Paul Gaultier. He described it best when he said, "[The rules] are only the reflection of what’s happening in life, in society, so there are no real rules in fashion.” The ladies of the event showed just that with their varying looks, so which rule-breaking look is your favorite?

The little ladies of Big Love were on hand for the premiere of the 2nd season in LA this week. Bill Paxton and Executive Producer Tom Hanks also came out for the occasion! Ginnifer is looking adorable but a little pissed off. The only thing that's missing is boyfriend Chris Klein! He must be busy on one of the 5 films he has in the works right now. As for the show, we're dying to see how much of the Henricksen family's secret is actually out. The season premieres on HBO on Monday at 9 PST and is on our list of must watch tv shows of the summer.

Stars like Eva Mendes, Kylie Minogue and Kerry Washington (love or hate her look?) took a little time out of their movie viewing schedules to attend amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS Benefit last night at Cannes. Just like last year Sharon Stone and Harvey Weinstein hosted the event which also featured a special performance by Dita Von Teese. It's so great that celebs are willing to take a break from their wild Cannes parties to focus on such a great cause.

The beautiful ladies graced the red carpet at last night's amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS Benefit in Cannes, but inside the event was where the boys came out. In fact, the undeniably handsome and oh-so-generous George Clooney even auctioned off a kiss to benefit the cause. I'm not sure what the winning bid was...but how seriously lucky (and probably rich) is that lady?!? Speaking of very fortunate women, Ellen Barkin looked great, as usual, up on stage next to her Ocean's 13 co-stars. Hopefully all the Ocean's yumness (and their lady friends) will be out for the big premiere later today. Highlight of the festival much?

Besides Jude Law it really is the ladies that are making a splash at Cannes so far. Of course the cast of Ocean's 13 hasn't made an appearance and when they do that's all going to change! Can't say we blame you for it being the Cannes movie you're most excited to see! Until then you know these stunning actresses are loving the spotlight.
