All sorts of celebrities came out Saturday night in the Hamptons for a Billy Joel concert as part of the Social @ Ross series. MK took a break from her new Weeds life for the event, along with Billy's former wife Christie Brinkley and now wife Katie Lee. It always seems a little random to see Renee Zellweger out and about, though she's looking pretty happy, so, uh, yay? Kelly Ripa and Mark were adorable as always. After one season, four public feuds, a few hundred thousand viewers and countless headlines, Rosie O'Donnell is calling it a day on daytime.
The larger-than-life "View" cohost announced on Wednesday morning's show that her first season as moderator of the femme-fueled coffee klatsch would also be her last, with her tenure scheduled to end in mid June.
"This has been an amazing experience and one I wouldn't have traded for the world," O'Donnell said. "Working with Barbara, Joy and Elisabeth has been one of the highlights of my careers, but my needs for the future just didn't dovetail with what ABC was able to offer me."
ABC seconded her reasons for decamping the chatfest, confirming that the feud-sparking host's departure was not due to her high-profile wars of words with the likes of Donald Trump, Kelly Ripa, Bill O'Reilly and the whole of the Chinese-American population but rather to the parties' inability to come to an agreement on a contract for an additional year.

David Letterman's one-man welcoming committee is about to get the favor returned.
The late-night funnyman will appear as the guest on "Live with Regis and Kelly" Thursday, Regis Philbin's first day back on chat duty since undergoing triple heart bypass surgery six weeks ago.
Kelly Ripa announced the guest spot on Monday's show, calling Letterman's show of support "very appropriate."
Not to mention very expected.
Letterman, who in addition to undergoing his own quadruple heart bypass surgery in 2000, has been peppered with ailments over the years, has historically booked Philbin as the premiere "Late Night" guest to help acclimate him back into the hosting hot seat after taking various medical leaves of absence.

Regis Philbin's ticker surgery was a little tougher than he expected but he's still in good spirits.
The 75-year-old morning talk show host called into "Live With Regis and Kelly" Friday morning and told his perky co-star Kelly Ripa that while he was taken a bit off guard by the severity of last week's triple-bybass surgery, he's on the mend and starting to feel better.
"Well, you know, I think I'm through the worst of it," he said during Friday morning's show. "I guess I was a little unprepared for, you know, the first week and what they actually do to make this thing happen, and so, some of it came as quite a shock."

Five days in the hospital, five weeks in recovery--that's the prescription doctors gave Regis Philbin's troubled ticker and, according to Kelly Ripa, the prognosis is so far, so good.
The uber-perky cohost announced on Wednesday morning's "Live!" that her 75-year-old chat partner has been released from the New York hospital where he underwent triple heart bypass surgery last week.
Ripa said that after five days recovering under the watchful eye of the hospital staff, Philbin was released on Monday. She was unable to share the good news with the audience at that time, however, as she had been "sworn to secrecy."
Should the morning mainstay feel up to it, Ripa said that he may even call into the show on Friday to give a more detailed account of his recovery.
