The women wore a variety of colors on the red carpet but one thing was clear on Hollywood's biggest night - they were all glowing. Colors ranged from beautiful blue, which was worn by the lovely Freida Pinto, pretty pink on petite Natalie Portman and ravishing reds as seen on Amy Adams and Heidi Klum. Some looked like princesses in their full gowns like Sarah Jessica Parker and Miley Cyrus. Both wore their very detailed dresses differently but they looked belted and beautiful.

Those that kept away from color still stood out in basic black or light whites. Angelina used her green earrings to capture our attention while Anne Hathaway sparkled in her metallic gown. Anne's dress had plastic sequins, which made it pretty difficult for her to walk into the theater but the dress sparkled with all the lights on her. Jessica Biel went for a dramatic bow while Penelope marked her special night with a vintage gown that was over 60 years old. Kate Winslet looked classic as well as Meryl Streep who was mobbed by the Slumdog kids - who were so excited to ask her for an autograph. It was one of the highlights from the red carpet, along with updo wearing Kate Winslet and Penelope Cruz being the last of the ladies to head into the theater arm in arm.

Sarah Jessica Parker was out in NYC to take James Wilkie to school earlier today. She's all about the routine of walking with him in the mornings and afternoons, which shouldn't be interrupted since the Sex and the City sequel is not supposed to start shooting until the Summer. At that point, James Wilkie has Matthew Broderick to take him on any adventures while SJP is reuniting with her on-screen BFFs.

Sarah Jessica Parker signed autographs for fans as she left the Chanel Mobile Art after party at The Waverly Inn last night. SJP and Karl Lagerfeld were two of the big stars at the party last night and while Fab's got the scoop on Karl here's what SJP had to say. She played coy about the possibility of a sequel to the Sex and the City movie, smiling when asked if she had signed on yet and saying "Oh, geez, I don't know," but she did speak about Chanel and the mobile art pavilion. • On her favorite Chanel object: "Does one have to pick a favorite? It would be hard to deny the perfection of the Chanel bag. Don't you think?"
• On the mobile art exhibit: "Well, I think that public art is kind of vital and sometimes it's glamorous and sometimes it's related to some kind of aesthetic and sometimes it's surprising and without calculation and this is just a very special sort of moment! And I'm excited to know that it's going to many places – it's traveling across the world."

Chanel pulled out all the stops to celebrate the opening of their mobile art pavilion in New York's Central Park last night. Silver and black were the colors of the night on stars like Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Raver, Kate Bosworth and Karl Lagerfeld in his usual uniform. The night was so cold and windy that a pole fell on Kim Raver as she started walking down the red carpet. At one point James Rousseau sweetly offered Kate Bosworth his jacket and kissed her cheek when she looked chilly. She also laughed and chatted with Helena Christensen while enjoying the live music. Sarah Jessica Parker walked the streets of Manhattan in her Loubs after dropping James Wilkie off at school today. Matthew Broderick skipped this trip, but this Sunday, SJP and Matthew will take the stage together for a concert event called Broadway Voices For Change to encourage voter registration and turnout. The actress has already supported Obama through fashion statements and a fundraiser, but now the duo will rally for change side by side just like other celebrity couples we know.
