Mary-Louise Parker and LL Cool J took some time out earlier this week to visit The Today Show and read to children attending Jumpstart's Read for the Record event in New York City. The actress and her little friend waved for the cameras on a break from the book. MLP has two kids of her own, but apparently her on-screen son Hunter Parrish is basically family at this point too. She said of their relationship, "He's a part of my life. We text each other. He spent Thanksgiving at my house, he comes every year. My daughter goes to the set, and the first thing she says on set is 'Hunter.' She's looking for Hunter." Considering our feelings about Hunter we understand where Mary-Louise's daughter is coming from.

All the women at the Primetime Emmy Awards looked beautiful on the red carpet last night, but some caught our eyes more than others with their bright and colorful gowns. The Olsens, the Kates, Eve, Dita, Liv, Jennifer Connelly and more came out in support of Seventh on Sale last night in NYC. The ultra all white Olsen look was an excellent contrast to many of the deep colors or all-black attires. MAC ladies, Eva and Dita went glam and gold while Jennifer and Kate went red. Once again Kate Moss makes anything look amazingly stylish. Fashion designers like MJ, DVF and Francisco Costa were also in attendance. Blake Lively lived it up like a real Gossip Girl who gets to attend events with Anna Wintour. Seems a bit more Blair-like than Serena but we're loving it!

The dinner gala took place at NYC’s 69th Regiment Armory. The event is in support of 7thonsale which is an auction on eBay or shopping in store in NYC for designer clothes and items worn by celebrities. 100% of the proceeds go to those in need of help living with HIV and AIDS. Sounds like a great cause so it's no wonder it has so many supporters.

Mary-Louise Parker was one hot momma in her strapless black number at last night's 3rd Annual Worldwide Orphans Benefit Gala in NYC. She didn't have her boy or new little daughter with her for the adult event, but I'm sure they were on her mind for her night out on the town. While I love me some MLP and loathe to criticize Weeds, this season of the show has been a hard one to watch. On one hand, hearts for Mary-Kate, on the other Nancy Botwin is starting to get a little unbearable. Is it just me? I'm hoping the end of the season really turns it around, because it's been a favorite for years now. Just gotta remind myself that the gorgeous MLP is not the character she plays on TV.

Mary-Louise Parker and her newly-adopted baby girl went together to go pick up MLP's older son, William Atticus, at nursery school in New York City yesterday. Pretty freaking precious if you ask me. Though we don't know the little girl's name yet (or even what country she was born in), the most important thing is to see how natural she looks in her new mom's arms. MLP may play a well-intentioned but ultimately messed up mother on Weeds, but in real life she looks like a perfectly caring, loving (and gainfully employed) momma. Love her.
