While three wrongful death suits filed against her this year accuse her of causing a fatal four-car collision in December, the 28-year-old singer took matters into her own hands Wednesday and sued one of the other drivers involved in the accident, alleging that 50-year-old Mallory Ham of Simi Valley caused the crash.
Similarly, in court documents filed May 23, Brandy, whose full name is Brandy Norwood, "specifically [denied] each and every allegation" in the wrongful death complaints brought against her by relatives of the woman who died of injuries suffered in the Dec. 30 crash.
The accident occurred on Los Angeles' 405 freeway when Brandy's 2007 Range Rover rear-ended a Toyota Corolla being driven by 38-year-old Awatef Aboudihaj, who in turn hit 82-year-old Donald Lit's Toyota Tercel.

The December 30 accident occurred on Los Angeles' 405 freeway when Brandy's Land Rover rear-ended a Toyota Carolla being driven by 38-year-old Awatef Aboudihaj, who in turn hit 82-year-old Donald Lit's Toyota Tercel. That caused Aboudihaj's car to bounce into a different lane, where she was broadsided by 50-year-old Mallory Ham's vehicle. Aboudihaj died of her injuries at a nearby hospital the following evening.
Marouane Hdidou filed a lawsuit for negligence and wrongful death against singer Brandy Norwood in Los Angeles County Superior Court. He seeks unspecified damages.

NBC announced Thursday that Sharon Osbourne will join David Hasselhoff and British TV personality Piers Morgan on the judging panel for the next season of the Simon Cowell-produced competition series.
"Sharon Osbourne is show business personified and she has seen and done it all," Craig Plestis, executive VP of alternative programming, development and specials, said.
"She will make an excellent fit with David and Piers, who we're delighted to have back for another great season."
Although America's Got Talent was a successful summer show last year, averaging 11 million viewers, per Nielsen Media Research, there has been plenty of speculation over whether Brandy Norwood would return ever since it was reported that the singer-actress caused a fatal chain-reaction collision on a Los Angeles freeway in December.

A second lawsuit was filed against Brandy Norwood following the Dec. 30 crash on the San Diego Freeway that killed Awatef Aboudihaj, a 38-year-old Los Angeles waitress.

A second wrongful-death lawsuit has been filed against the Grammy-winning entertainer over the Dec. 30 car crash that resulted in the death of Awatef Aboudihaj, 38, and injuries to her two sons.
The most recent suit was filed on behalf of the Mrwan Mohamed, 14, and Kareem Mohamed, 10, who received injuries that their attorney, Paul N. Phillips, says will cause some permanent disability.
The suit, filed Feb. 8 in Los Angeles Superior Court, claims that Brandy (listed by her legal name of Brandy Norwood in the complaint) was driving her sport utility vehicle "recklessly and carelessly" when she struck Aboudihaj's Honda on the 405 Freeway in Los Angeles and that the singer-actor was directly responsible for the crash.
It's only Tuesday and it's already Brandy's worst week ever.
A day after Los Angeles prosecutors revealed that the 27-year-old entertainer could face a misdemeanor manslaughter charge for allegedly causing a fatal highway accident, the victim's parents have launched a $50 million wrongful-death lawsuit against the former Moesha star.
The civil action accuses Brandy (listed in court papers by her full name, Brandy Norwood) of "driving recklessly in the freeway when her car collided with Awatif Aboudihaj's car" on Dec. 30.
Aboudihaj, a 38-year-old wife and mother, was hospitalized with what officers described as "major" injuries, including multiple pelvic fractures, and died the next day.
According to court documents filed in Van Nuys, California, and obtained by E! News, the woman's parents, Aboudihaj Ahmed and Labridi Zohra, are seeking $50 million in compensatory and punitive damages.
There was no immediate comment from Brandy's camp.
