Penelope Cruz's hectic schedule showed no signs of slowing down as she arrived in London earlier today. While she left the SAG Awards empty-handed on Sunday, she was the guest of honor at a party in LA last night. Her close friend Salma Hayek threw a bash at her home celebrating Penelope's Oscar nomination with stars including Scarlett and Ryan, Ashton and Demi, Drew Barrymore, and Colin Farrell. Salma served tapas and sangria but still made sure to take a time-out from playing hostess to tuck baby Valentina into bed. With the Oscars just a few weeks away, it sounds like Tom Cruise isn't the only one in Penelope's corner.

Last night the 2008 National Board of Review Awards Gala was held at Cipriani's in NYC and once again the ladies were dressed to impress. Sexy Salma continues her fabulous fashion streak and Naomi Watts looks like a million bucks after baby. Anne Hathaway scored another award for Best Actress for Rachel Getting Married while Josh Brolin took home one for Milk. Slumdog was another big winner with Best Film and Dev Patel for Breakthrough Performance by an Actor. A lot of the faces remain the same but we're loving award season so far.

Salma Hayek brought her mom and daughter Valentina along on Friday to do some after-Christmas shopping at Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills. It looks like Salma tried to go incognito in her all-black outfit, but there was no mistaking Valentina taking baby steps in her precious dress as they waited for their car. Salma used their downtime to sneak a cigarette — a bad habit the sexy mom can certainly afford to lose.

Salma Hayek was glammed up today for an amfAR Cinema Against AIDS event in Dubai. Aside from her many diamonds, her most interesting accessory of the evening was ex-fiancé Francois-Henri Pinault. Ever since their romantic-looking yacht vacation a few months ago, we've suspected they're back together, and a stroll down the red carpet together is another good sign. They were joined by Goldie Hawn, Danny Glover, and Laura Linney in their attempts to raise money for AIDS research, which was a great reason for another star-studded gathering in the bustling city.
