The theme of the night was "The Rule Breakers" and the event honored designers that included Jean Paul Gaultier. Last night John Galliano debuted the 60th Anniversary couture collection for Dior and what better place to host the lavish event than opulent and ostentatious Versailles palace outside Paris. While some of our favorite Hollywood fashionistas didn't make the trek Kate, Jessica, Charlize & Ellen were lucky enough to score invites. (Side note: Dita is getting more pale by the day, right?) Naturally Anna Wintour was front and center to cast her always judge-y eye on the likes of Naomi & Gisele gracing the runway. It wouldn't have been fair for Linda Evangelista to keep genes like that to herself.
So, obliging the rules of fairness, the Canadian supermodel had her first child Wednesday in New York, a boy she has named Augustin James Evangelista, People reported.
Evangelista, who at 41 is still landing Vogue covers (August '06), has never publicly revealed who the father of her baby is. Her agent, Didier Fernandez, told the New York Post in July that he was rendered "speechless" by a rumor that she was impregnated by artificial insemination.
