The British rapper was recuperating Sunday after emerging relatively unscathed from a high-speed car crash that occurred during filming of an auto-racing reality show for the UK's Sky One TV network, according to published reports.
Ms. Dynamite, real name Niomi Mclean-Daley, was driving an estimated 100 miles per hour at the Silverstone racetrack in central England when a car driven by AC/DC singer Brian Johnson bumped her Formula Ford vehicle, sending her skidding out of control.
"The contestants were on lap four of 25 when Brian Johnson's wheel clipped the back of Ms. Dynamite's car causing it to spin down the track for about [55 yards] before it came to a halt," a Sky rep told the Agence France-Presse.
Per the spokesman, the 25-year-old hip-hopster was shaken up but did not sustain serious injuries. She was taken to a hospital and kept overnight for observation as a precaution.
