The ladies were bursting with color and sparkle at last night's Emmy Awards. Christina Applegate looked positively radiant and was the talk of the night — smiley, happy and healthy. Mary Louise Parker was the most eye catching of all in her bright blue number though you all were fairly divided on the look while Brooke Shields lived up to the name of her show in Lipstick pink. Heidi Klum went dramatic while Eva Longoria was all tied up in a bow with Tony on her arm. Debra Messing was one of Fab's best dressed but what do you think? Marcia Cross raised a couple of eyebrows on Saturday when she was spotted leaving the Ken Paves salon in LA without her trademark long red hair. She covered her locks underneath a shorter brown wig with bangs but by Sunday she was back to her flame-haired self for a trip to a cafe with her husband Tom Mahoney. Maybe Marcia was test driving a new look for the Summer, because now that she's done playing Bree Hodge on Desperate Housewives for the season, she can mix things up before returning to TV next Fall.

Hollywood went to DC on Saturday night for the White House Correspondents Dinner and apparently left the color in Cali. Ben and Jen looked gorgeous as usual and brought some A-List acting clout to the reality TV infested event. Jenny McCarthy also looked pretty stunning, though that dress seems a bit risqué for the nature of the evening. Joy of joys, Heidi and Spencer made it after all though instead of black she's re-wearing the same exact outfit from her Kitson trip last weekend. Faux. Pas. I wonder what LC thought of that. In a break from her solo shopping routine, Marcia Cross took her twins Eden and Savannah out for some retail therapy on Thursday in LA. With the news that the writers' strike may be coming to an end, Marcia's days of chilling at home with her babies may be short-lived. She's probably been thrilled that her forced vacation has allowed her to spend so much time with her girls, but Eden and Savannah aren't the only ones who want time with their famous mom Marcia — all her Desperate Housewives fans can't wait to see her back as Bree on Wisteria Lane.

Marcia Cross is making sure to stay in shape even though her show is on an indefinite hiatus. She sported her favorite gym outfit plus a scarf to keep her warm. We're all hoping the most recent news that negotiation discussions are resuming is a sign that the writers' strike may actually end soon. This would mean our favorite shows would be working their way back on the small screen soon. Fingers crossed because after last week's DH episode, we want to see what happens next.

This weekend Marcia Cross and her husband Tom Mahoney took their twins Eden and Savannah to meet Santa at the mall. The twins were dressed up in their holiday clothes and when it was their turn to be alone with Santa, well, they all looked hilariously less than thrilled. We hope all of you got your pictures taken, shopping done and are now celebrating with family. Marcia Cross may be getting a little vacation from playing Bree on Desperate Housewives thanks to the writers' strike, but she's still keeping herself fit with her gym workouts. Hey, you don't get on the list of fastest post-pregnancy slim downs for nothing but let's hope she was more careful with those shoelaces at the gym. Marcia has been feeling the holiday spirit since Thanksgiving, and we wonder if she found the perfect place for that giant nutcracker she picked up. 2007 was a great year for new mommy Marcia and we bet she can't wait to celebrate the first holiday season with her adorable twin girls.
