Jay-Z left the Spirit Awards to kick off his tour at the re-opening of the Hollywood Palladium last night. As expected, DJ AM was right there to help work those turntables for his second appearance since the plane crash — which he recently opened up about in an interview and said he "jumped through a fireball" to get out of the burning plane. While the celebrity attendees like Ellen Pompeo and Hayden Panettiere may have missed watching the debate last night, Jay-Z still took the opportunity to talk politics a bit on stage. Between his welcome home party and having lots of friends around to keep company, it looks like DJ AM is happy to be back at work after the tragedy.

Ryan Phillippe and Abbie Cornish went as twins in their matching caps and sunglasses as they grabbed breakfast with Ryan's buddy Breckin Meyer in LA earlier this week. Ryan took Abbie to Vegas for her bikini birthday celebration in August, but apparently his own early September bash was a little lonely with his girl off in Australia. Luckily it looks like Ryan's got his posse of favorite people back by his side, and maybe a belated celebration will also help cheer up the now 34 year old.

Ryan Phillippe and Abbie Cornish went to Dan Tana's and Villa on Thursday, continuing their now public romance while his kids are in Europe with Reese and Jake. Abbie kept her hair tucked up into another hat, but rumor has it that she's gone back to blonde at the same salon Reese goes to and in the exact same shade. While people called her a Reese lookalike when Abbie first entered the scene, she's been looking so different recently with her darker locks. Most of you like her better light and we'll reserve judgment until we see's what is hiding under her hats.

Uh oh, looks like Ryan Phillippe didn't pack any smiles for his trip to NYC for last night's Stop-Loss premiere. Sad face. He also doesn't seem to have packed his costars Channing Tatum or Joseph Gordon-Levitt, not to mention Miss Abbie Cornish. That's all okay, though, because special thanks to all those workouts Ryan brings enough handsome for the whole lot of 'em. Just maybe a little bit sleepy.

Cate Blanchett's dress wasn't doing much to squash those pregnancy rumors, joined by costars Geoffrey Rush and Abbie Cornish at a photocall for Elizabeth: The Golden Age in Australia today. She and her husband are set to take on the roles of artistic directors for the Sydney Theater Company in January, but are receiving backlash for not being properly qualified. When asked how Queen Elizabeth would have handled the situation, Cate said,

"She was a great patron of the arts... under her reign, Shakespeare and the English language flourished. So I can only hope that under our patronage, Australian writing at the Sydney Theatre Company flourishes in a similar way."

Cate has always struck us as one of Hollywood's more poised and graceful stars. We're sure that her dedication and talent will shine through no matter whether her role is on the big screen or behind the scenes at the theater.
