On Friday, the rumor surfaced that Lauren Conrad doesn't have as much to do with the design process on her clothing line as she claims and that someone else has been doing the work LC takes credit for. Lauren was quick to respond saying,

"I've been involved in this entire process, every single step of the way. I have wanted to be a fashion designer since I was a little girl. I grew up designing and sewing dresses for my barbie dolls, and the Lauren Conrad Collection has been my dream come true."

LC talked to us about how much the line means to her. Plus, we've all seen her taking promoting the line very seriously and going to fashion school on The Hills, but rumors are rumors. So, do you believe Lauren Conrad about being involved with every step of her clothing line?

Lauren Conrad ducked into a waiting car after an evening at Crown Bar in LA last night. The Hills star looks like she had herself a good time out with friends — and thankfully she admitted to us that MTV always takes care of getting the girls home after nights on the town. Luckily she was still smiling because it sounds like the adorable starlet had a little bit of an embarrassing moment. Rumor has it that soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo refused to pose for a photo with her out at a club! Maybe we'll see that on season four, which premieres August 18 (can't come soon enough), but until that drama hits TV we're happy to see all her cute Summer fun captured on camera and hear about her continued sweetheart ways in her real life too.

Everyone loves a good photobooth, including some of our favorite starlets like Lindsay Lohan, Lauren Conrad and Audrina Patridge who slipped into their bikinis and posed for the camera. The girls didn't quite live up to the name of the Lifestyles Make Out Booth, but they still had a great time and looked adorable at the Fourth of July DKNY Jeans Beach House party. Of course Lindsay posed sultry and sexy in her red string bikini with her friend. Meanwhile The Hills girls — with Justin Bobby, who caused some trouble that day — went more silly with their six picture strip. Just another reason we can't wait for the show to return August 18. How fun!

Lauren Conrad looked gorgeous in a sundress and heels posing with Audrina and Whitney for a photo shoot yesterday afternoon. By night, LC was out on the town showing off her fresh 4th of July tan at Coco De Ville in Hollywood, although she seemed a little overwhelmed by the crowd. Lauren is a busy woman these days but she makes sure to schedule in time for fun, and we only have a little over a month left before we get to see all of the usual nightlife drama unfold on our small screens!

Lauren Conrad looked gorgeous showing off a few sassy Summer outfits for a photoshoot with LA Direct Magazine. The California girl is just as sunny in her interview as she is in the photos, talking about her great year and how far she's come since her days on Laguna Beach. Here are highlights:

• “I always say this isn’t what I signed up for. I thought I signed up for a one-episode documentary."
• “I feel like [the show] makes me look like I sit around all day and feel sorry for myself, but I’m actually a very happy person. Sometimes I want to reach into the TV and smack myself, and say ‘get over it.’”
• “It’s been a crazy four years, but they’ve been amazing. I got to travel all around the world. I’ve met so many cool people. I’ve had all these opportunities. I’m really lucky. You got to take the good with the bad.”

Lauren has come a long way since those Laguna Beach days, but it's refreshing to hear her sound so grounded and humble. Plus, we love to hear that she's more upbeat than it sometimes seems on her show.

After taking a little break from the scene since we last saw her tanning on June 20, Lauren Conrad was back out in Hollywood last night looking refreshed and gorgeous. She and her entourage including Lo hit up Crown Bar for a little pre-Fourth of July partying.
