The Olsens, the Kates, Eve, Dita, Liv, Jennifer Connelly and more came out in support of Seventh on Sale last night in NYC. The ultra all white Olsen look was an excellent contrast to many of the deep colors or all-black attires. MAC ladies, Eva and Dita went glam and gold while Jennifer and Kate went red. Once again Kate Moss makes anything look amazingly stylish. Fashion designers like MJ, DVF and Francisco Costa were also in attendance. Blake Lively lived it up like a real Gossip Girl who gets to attend events with Anna Wintour. Seems a bit more Blair-like than Serena but we're loving it!

The dinner gala took place at NYC’s 69th Regiment Armory. The event is in support of 7thonsale which is an auction on eBay or shopping in store in NYC for designer clothes and items worn by celebrities. 100% of the proceeds go to those in need of help living with HIV and AIDS. Sounds like a great cause so it's no wonder it has so many supporters.

Jennifer Connelly looks gorgeous and glamorous on the December cover of Vogue. Something about all the photos of her is so intense and at the same time serene, but as expected she's not really one to crack a smile. In the article Jennifer talks about taking such dark roles, including her most recent one as a grieving mother in Reservation Road, and what ultimately turned her life around. Here's highlights:

• On taking on sad roles: "I don't often play characters who are the happy-go-lucky girl next door. For the most part I have made dramas with women who are, you know, grieving." She laughs. "I think that has shaped people's perception of me. But I don't think that's necessarily a reflection of how I live my life. I don't think I'm a particularly sad person. I don't feel bereft or depressed. I don't think of myself as chilly. These are just parts that I find interesting."
• On her looks contributing to the parts she gets: "Huh! Huh! I have no idea. I don't think of myself as someone who has such a strong physical appearance that it should push them one way or another. It makes me sort of mad to think that someone's coloring should define their personality. I mean, certainly, you look at someone like, again, Meryl Streep, you know that she can play anyone: Despite her fair coloring, you completely buy her no matter what she does. But maybe with me, a lesser talent, it is all about that." She laughs again. "You may be onto something."

Glamour's Women of the Year 2007 came together at NYC's Lincoln Center last night to celebrate each other. Jennifer Connelly's dress was a fabulous color while the first ever Girl of the Year, Abigail Breslin's looked perfectly appropriate. Mariah performed for the big event while some of TV's finest doctors, Taye and Eric Dane (and Chief), were among the men out to honor all these fabulous ladies. The issue's cover girl Jennifer Garner celebrated her night off from Broadway and pulled off a dress that most women could not, but didn't walk the red carpet with Ben. In the magazine Jennifer talks about why that is. She said:

We’ve worked really hard not to be one of those couples who are constantly in the limelight. In the past we’ve both been the kind of people who go along with things—if you’re supposed to be photographed together, you don’t question it. But how does that help your relationship? So now we refuse to walk the red carpet together: It’s a way of not condoning the attention. Plus, it just feels silly to be in that situation with him: Ben was nominated for a Golden Globe [for 2006’s Hollywoodland]. I remember being photographed next to him and thinking, This is ridiculous. You’re not some actor; you’re my husband.

While I fully appreciate her persepective, I can admit that I would love to see them walk together every once in a while. Even (or as it turns out, especially) without, they're certainly one of the cutest and most real marriages in Hollywood. A big big congrats to all the wonderful and inspiring women both winning the honors and attending the event last night. Claps, claps.

The streets of Manhattan were teeming with celebrity families yesterday evening as the costumed youngsters went from door to door, probably giving a few unsuspecting families a surprise when they opened their doors. Trick or treat! Soho was the 'hood for Julianne Moore and her little gnome and Wonder Woman also Ed Burns holding the hand of his precious Snow White. The West Village was more Liv Tyler, Royston and Milo's speed in their outfits — way to be a little un PC there with the Indian and Mexican costumes, guys? Milo looked beefy like Henry as Spidey. In the same area Jennifer Connelly and Paul Bettany brought around Kai and Stellan in his little Star Wars outfit. Hope all these adorably disguised kiddies scored big on Halloween night. Reese's Peanut Butter Cups for everyone!

Ben headed back to the west coast to reunite with his brother Casey but this time it wasn't to do more promotional work for their film, Gone Baby Gone. Last night at the Hollywood Film Festival both brothers were honored (but more on that soon). They partnered up for the red carpet walk where they shared the floor with the beautiful Janet Jackson and adorable Amanda Bynes who was also there with her many Hairspray co-stars. John Travolta clearly won worst dressed with his checkered suit but his wife Kelly Preston was by his side to ease his pain. As for Jennifer Connelly, she has either had a real hit or big misses these days, however, last night she was clearly doing her best Dita Von Teese.

Reservation Road premiered in LA last night, bringing out the movie's four big name stars. Joaquin, Mark, Jennifer and Mira all looked happy to be reunited on the red carpet, but I'm sure they were all missing their other all star costar, Elle Fanning. Jennifer Connelly was obviously too busy reveling in her new deal to be the face of Balenciaga to realize that the designer's runway look doesn't translate too well to the everyday premiere. Two words: Hot mess. With all the super dramatic movies opening this weekend it's hard to choose just one. On newsstands this Tuesday Elle honors six ladies as the 2007 Women in Hollywood. Among them are Jennifer Connelly, the child star; Diane Lane, the sexy soccer mom; Amy Adams, the supporting actress turned leading lady and one of our favorites Kate Bosworth, the blonde bombshell. On chosing Kate Elle said, "In a town that worships lanky young blonds, Kate Bosworth could have had it easy. Instead, she dodged the expected and chose to rely on her intensity and range, proving this bombshell is built to last." All of these stars look gorgeous in their photoshoots (and on the big screen), and we can't wait to see if all of their hard work this year will pay off at the box office.

Jennifer Connelly took a coffee break in LA with her sons Stellan and Kai in tow. Looks like Stellan is keeping it healthy with vitamin water instead — not a bad call since it looks like he's a little young to be needing his caffeine fix. On the other hand, it seems like Jennifer fits right into the celebrity trend of loving that Starbucks, not that we blame her. She still looks pretty fabulous even in jeans and a t-shirt so we're willing to bet that she went with some of the lower calorie items on the menu.
