	Nadia Turner - You Don't Have To Say You Love Me Nadia Turner had 'It.' I don't really know what 'It' is, but she had 'It.' Was it Confidence? Originality? Sassy-ness? Maybe it's cause she reminded me a little bit of Tina Turner. I think it was the hair that got me. She looked like nobody else, so I clung to her for the longest time. I wanted her to win... However, Carrie is my favorite Idol Winner ever, and she's one of the most successful, so things worked out for the best. Nadia is still awesome. She'd proven she was an amazing performer throughout the top 24 with her spunky song choices, bouncing around and gyrating her hips in a frilly pink skirt. But she went to a new level when she stepped out on stage and belted this one out. It was perfect, flawless, full of star-quality and it showed who was the one to be beat. She was seasoned. She was sexy. She had big poofy hair. Yet...she only got 8th place. Now all we can do is celebrate her 'Coulda-Woulda's,' as she lives forever on YouTube. I was wowed me with this song. 	Stephanie Edwards - You Don't have to Say You Love Me When I heard Stephanie was gonna sing this song, I got excited. Than I got a little nervous. Not only was it incredibly slower than anything she had previously done, but it's a song Nadia Turner took over during Season 4 and did flawlessly. I still listen to her rendition and play it over and over again, my heart jumping a little bit when she lets go of the mic stand and sings to the audience. It's THAT good. Would Stephanie capture the same intensity and deliver vocals that'd make it one of the standout performances of her own season? Unfortunately... no. It didn't work. I watch both back to back and try to find out where they differ. Why was Nadia's so great and why did Stephanie's not measure up (for me). All I can see is that Stephanie seemed to be holding back. Her vibrato failed her when going for notes longer than 2 seconds, and she seemed uncomfrotable the entire time. Nadia just put it all out there and sang it perfect. It's extremely unfair to compare both of them, because they both had different styles and did their own thing throughout the competition (despite both finishing in less-than-perfect 11th and 8th place). 	3-23-07 - FLOW Media Coverage - Youth Expressions The Green Family Foundation Initiative and the Dade Community Foundation provide support for the University of Miami Department of Pediatrics' Future Leaders of the World (FLOW) program. A collaborative program between the university and Youth Expressions, FLOW is an HIV/AIDS education project aimed at urban youth, particularly those who attend alternative schools or are involved in the juvenile justice system. Participants attend training sessions that address HIV-related topics, such as drug use, sexuality, violence prevention and self esteem.
