St Trinian's World Premiere

London: 10 December 2007
Flash Alert! A world premiere tonight so big turn out for this very British comedy premiere's Pink-Carpet. One fan whose 18th birthday now decide that a kiss from Russell Brand would be the perfect gift, and she got it. She waited on the fanline all day and Russell obliged. He even signed one fan's mouth. Colin Firth was really nice with fans as usual, as was Rupert Everett. My fan-line-mates this time had a project about asking female celebs and stars on their view on size zero and that added some interest to the normal screaming. Girls Aloud spent their time with the paps and press so the fans were denied. To plenty of good natured screaming, a guy in a silver lamee jockstrap who leapt the barrier to proposition Russell Brand, was led away by security.

Stars and celeb spotted:
Holly and Cloe Mackie
Alisha Bennett - X Factor

Never Mind the Buzzcocks

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Never_Mind_the_Buzzcocks

Never Mind the Buzzcocks is a comedy panel game show with a pop and rock music theme, presented by Simon Amstell.

The show is infamous for its dry, sarcastic humour and scathing, provocative attacks on the pop industry. Victims of former host Mark Lamarr's attacks have included James Blunt, Bruce Dickinson, Pete Burns, Brian Molko, The Cheeky Girls, Robbie Williams, Jonathan King, Phil Collins, Blue, Courtney Love, Peter Andre, Westlife, Geri Halliwell, Claire Sweeney, Dido, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and Elton John, who in the 2004 Christmas special he wished had died twice in the same year. He also attacked Chris Moyles, Chris Evans, Patrick Kielty and Jimmy Carr.

Format

In the show, celebrities (usually comedians or musicians) are given tasks, such as guessing which song introduction their team-mates are attempting to recreate (with no instruments or props), and guessing which of three implausible stories about a popular musician are true.

Over 15,000 people joined the celebrations in Trafalgar Square on 8 May for A Party To Remember - a free concert to mark the 60th anniversary of VE Day, the day the Second World War ended in Europe and peace was declared. The audience included specially invited Second World War veterans.

The concert featured a fantastic line up of artists including Katie Melua, Will Young, Sir Cliff Richard, Daniel Bedingfield, Hayley Westenra, Claire Sweeney and Heather Small, performing a unique mixture of classics and contemporary tracks, accompanied by the quintessential war time fixture ÿÿÿ the big band.
