HEROINE - a theatre piece (by Asa Mader)
Asa Mader created his first stage direction HEROINE with Anna Mouglalis -- a multi-media theatrical performance based on the texts of Ovid, Marguerite Yourcenar, and telephone text messages (SMS). Combined with a 4-channel film and video installation and loosely inspired by the soliloquy of Molly Bloom from James Joyce's Ulysses, these written proclamations of love and the anguish of love at a distance present a modern interpretation of the "woman in waiting." The piece was created for and presented at the Festival of Ortigia in the Castello Maniace of Siracusa (Sicily).

Chanel Spring-Summer RTW 07-08 Fashion Show by Karen Kooper
http://www.karenkooper.com
I attended the Chanel Spring-Summer 2008 Ready-to-Wear Runway Show which took place on Friday, October 5th 2007 at 10:30AM at the Grand Palais, Avenue du Général Eisenhower Paris 8ème.
The show explored Karl Lagerfeld's vision of the new ready-to-wear line for 2008 Spring-Summer season, called "Nuits d'Été" or "Summer Nights". Drawing upon the spirit of Coco Chanel's 1950's vision of the American spirit, notable pieces of interest this year include Dollar Broches, grommets and portholes on bags, stripes and star-strung jewelry, elegant pearls and chains, and even a play on denim materials with masculine-feminine overalls.
Stars filmed in this video include:
- Claudia Schiffer - Dita Von Teese - Kanye West and girlfriend Alexis Pfeiffer - Kirsten Dunst - Anna Mouglalis
The models that ran the catwalk for this collection included:
- Gemma Ward (IMG) - Anja Rubik (NEXT) - Lily Donaldson (MARILYN) - Irina Lazareanu (MARILYN) - Angela Lindvall (IMG) - Brad Koenig (FORD) - Natalia Vodianova (VIVA) - Sasha Pivovarova (IMG) - Mariacarla Boscono (VIVA) - Tom (VIVA) - Bruna Tenorio (WOMEN) - Michaela Kocianova (ELITE) - Catherine McNeil (NEXT) - Han Jin (MARILYN) - Jessica Stam (IMG) - Lisa Cant (MARILYN)
