Film-maker Elke Groen was present at the shooting and took a look behind the scenes, where Bady Minck tells about her approach to filmmaking and about the creative process from conception to realisation. 	the man with modern nerves (trailer) by bady minck A highspeed-journey through the spinal cord of Adolf Loos. For their film "The Man with Modern Nerves", Bady Minck and Stefan Stratil built a model based on sketches by the architect Adolf Loos, which he had originally designed in 1923 for a city-hall project in Mexico-City. The step-pyramid of his sketches is not only animated in their mise en scène, but becomes involved in an abstract game of geometric forms, light and shadows, reminiscent of certain films of the 20ies, like Oskar Fischinger's "Orgelstäbe". More than just an animation of the model, the film reveals Adolf Loos's architectural concepts of surface and the volume of space. 	being and nothingness (teaser) by bady minck For the film&music soirée "Free Radicals", Bady Minck realised this 10-minute film in collaboration with Klangforum Wien and Beat Furrer. "Being and Nothingness" celebrated its premiere at the Rotterdam International Film Festival this January. The premiere of "Free Radicals" is scheduled for autumn 2007. "Being and Nothingness" transforms a piece of music into a visual and examines the role of humans in this performance of sound and light. After a prologue in which composer and conductor Beat Furrer is shown obtaining and arranging a score by Schumann, its performance is the film's actual theme: As the notes pass through the picture, the musicians of the Klangforum Wien ensemble appear and disappear according to their acoustic contribution. The result is a choreography of sound, and the music's transience and vastness is turned into a ballet of bodies which, somewhere between presence and absence, commemorates the instability of being as a dialectic micro-spectacle.
