	Paris Hilton heads back to court Hello, I'm Rebecca Field with a UPI entertainment update on this Friday, June 8 2007. Just as Paris Hilton begins to settle back at home, the judge is ordering her back to court. The Los Angeles City attorney is asking the court to determine whether she should return to jail. The hotel heiress was sent home yesterday to finish her sentence under house arrest because of unspecified medical reasons. TMZ.com reports a trial is set for today and Hilton has been ordered to appear in person. Actor Isaiah Washington will not return to "Grey's Anatomy." The actor's publicist confirmed yesterday that he was not invited back on the show. Washington says he's angry and "not going to take it any more." He's been the center of controversy since he made a homophobic slur about his co-star T.R. Knight, last fall. Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora is reportedly in rehab. His rep tells People magazine he entered a treatment facility on Wednesday. The reason for rehab was not disclosed but the rocker has had a rough year. Sambora recently split from actress Denise Richards and in April his divorce with actress Heather Locklear was finalized. He also lost his father to cancer around the same time. "Harry Potter" actress Emma Watson says she plans to focus on academics for a while. In an interview with a British magazine the young actress says she wants to study philosophy at Cambridge University. But she'll have to juggle school and acting. Watson's already signed on to appear in the sixth installment of the "Potter" films. Rock stars Bono and Bob Geldof are encouraging world leaders to step up and fight poverty. In an effort to send a message to leaders at the G8 summit in Germany, the rockers reportedly joined other bands in a politically motivated concert. They also met with some of the government officials, urging them to fulfill their promises to help with aid in Africa. Reuters reports at the 2005 summit, leaders pledged to raise aid levels to 50 billion by 2010...with half of that going to Africa. That's all for now. 	Paris Hilton ordered back to jail Paris Hilton ordered back to jail BY TONY CASTRO & MICHAEL BLOOD A sobbing Paris Hilton was taken from a courtroom this afternoon after a judge ordered the celebrity heiress returned to county jail to serve out her entire 45-day sentence for a parole violation in a reckless driving case."Oh no!" a distraught Hilton shouted after Judge Michael Sauer ordered her immediately returned to jail. "Mom!" she called to her mother, Kathy, sitting in the second row of the spectators' gallery. "My baby!" Kathy Hilton wailed, hugging her husband, Rick, who is head of the Hilton Hotel dynasty A heckler in the crowd could be heard shouting - "Paris is going to jail! Paris is going to jail!" After ordering Hilton back to her cell Friday, Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer said he "at no time condoned the actions of the sheriff." The union representing deputy sheriffs demanded that Baca "put a stop to his special treatment for celebrity inmates." And county Supervisor Don Knabe said he was stunned to find out Baca released Hilton without consulting the court "I would have thought he would have better judgment than that," Knabe said. The county Board of Supervisors will demand a report on Hilton's release and Baca's decision-making in the matter, Knabe said. This is not the first time that Lee Baca, the sheriff who opened the jail door for Paris Hilton, has had his judgment questioned. He's been accused of using his authority to benefit friends and supporters. Since taking office he's accepted thousands of dollars worth of free meals, sports tickets and trips. For Baca, 65, who has led the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department since 1998, the blowback is not extraordinary. When Mel Gibson was arrested for drunken driving, the department withheld video and audio tapes of the arrest, asserting they were exempt from open-government laws. There were questions about favorable treatment for Gibson after a sheriff's spokesman initially said the arrest occurred "without incident" and made no mention of the superstar's now-notorious anti-Semitic rant. Baca has dismissed criticism over the decision. Last year, the Los Angeles Times reported Baca put one of his closest friends on the payroll as a $105,000-a-year adviser. The newspaper also said he had accepted more than $42,000 in gifts since taking office, including some from those who do business with his department. In 2004, he took more gifts than California's other 57 sheriffs combined. Baca oversees an 8,000-officer force that has been vexed by low morale, tight budgets, overcrowded jails and the persistence of gang crime. View Video
