Britt Ekland's 63rd Birthday Party
On October 6th 2005 at Wivelsfield train station platform 1/ East Sussex/ England, the fabulous Moronic Dance Music Association held a birthday party for international superstar and ex Mrs Peter Sellers - Britt Ekland. The dress code was strictly Pj's and dressing gowns as we were sure Britt wouldn't entertain the notion of leaving her bedroom on her birthday. We also provided refreshments and 63 masks for our guests, however our friends we invited are cunts and didn't belive we would do an hour long gig on a train station platform!
So here are some highlights of the evening with shitty pop editing.... Enjoy

The Great Peter Sellers
Peter Sellers, CBE (8 September 1925 -- 24 July 1980) was a British comedian and actor best known for his three roles in Dr. Strangelove and as Inspector Clouseau in The Pink Panther films.
Sellers first rose to fame on the BBC Home Service radio series The Goon Show. His exceptional ability to speak in a wide variety of different accents (e.g., French, Indian, American, British, German), along with his talent to portray a highly diverse range of characters, contributed to his immense success both as radio personality and screen actor and earned him many national and international nominations and awards. Many of his depictions of various characters and cultural stereotypes have become ingrained in the public's perception of his work. Sellers' private life, however, was characterised by frequent turmoils and crises, brought on by mental problems and substance abuse. Sellers was married four times (his second wife was the Swedish actress Britt Ekland); he had three children from two marriages.

Rod Stewart - Some Guys Have All The Luck
1984) After an unsuccessful apprenticeship with Brentford football club, Rod joined Long John Baldry's group, The Hoochie Coochie Men, in 1964. Only a year later and a name change to Steampacket, the band was supporting the Rolling Stones on tour. Joining the Jeff Beck Group, as lead vocalist, in 1966, gave Rod his first nationwide exposure. When that band broke up, Rod joined The Faces, who quickly earned themselves a reputation of being a boozy, boisterous rock and roll band. For the next six years, Rod would run a parallel solo career, which drew critical acclaim for the warmth of his song writing style. In 1971, the song 'Maggie May' was his first Number One hit internationally, and was later named as one of the '500 Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll'. Following a difficult Face's tour in 1972, in which jealousies of Stewart's solo success emerged, the band released their final album ,'Ooh La La', only for Rod to express his disdain for the record in the press. A bitter fight with UK tax collectors resulted in Stewart's relocating to glitzy Los Angeles, a move which the singer underlined by the album title 'Atlantic Crossing' and the anthemic single 'Sailing'. In 1978, Rod released 'Da Ya Think I'm Sexy', which not only marked a turning point in musical styles, it also sealed the singer's image as a swaggering, preening ladies' man with the tabloids. The critics turned on his more pop-sounding approach as a sell-out to that era's disco trend. By the eighties, hits like 'Baby Jane' were becoming the exception, rather than the rule. With only three Top Ten hits between 1982 and 1988, his chart slump allowed greater focus on his string of blonde girlfriends and wives, like Britt Ekland, Alana Hamilton and Rachel Hunter. Rod's popularity as a live concert attraction found a new avenue in the nineties: MTV's Unplugged sessions afforded older artists like Rod a whole new generation of fans. Stewart cannily tapped into this with his 1998 album, 'When We Were The New Boys', with its impressive covers of songs by Oasis, Primal Scream and Mike Scott. Rod's enduring appeal was marked by a new musical, 'Tonight's The Night', at London's Victoria Palace theatre, featuring many of Stewart's biggest hits. Most recently, Rod has successfully concentrated on singing standards from the 1930s and 1940s for 'The Great American Songbook'. His interpretation of Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, the Gershwins and other great American songwriters may have met with mixed critical response, but it has been massively successful with the public. Great sales have resulted in three volumes being recorded. October 23, 2006 saw the release of Rod's 24th studio album - Still the Same... Great Rock Classics of our Time. The following year, Stewart married model Penny Lancaster, with whom he had his seventh child, Alastair Wallace Stewart. It seems there's no letting up from the ultimate showman.

Stray Cat Strut-stray cats cover
its Sunday afternoon Rock School at Strats place. my daughter TallChai on rythym, my son Rio on acoustic bass The Stray Cats are a rockabilly band formed in 1979 by guitarist/vocalist Brian Setzer (Bloodless Pharaohs/Brian Setzer Orchestra) with school friends Lee Rocker (born Leon Drucker) and Slim Jim Phantom (born James McDonnell) in the Long Island town of Massapequa, New York. The group, whose style was based upon the sounds of Sun Records artists from the 1950s and heavily influenced by Bill Haley & His Comets, had little initial success in the New York music scene, and had to move to England before they saw any success at all within the nascent rockabilly revival there. The group had several hit singles in the UK and the U.S. during the early 1980s.
After a gig in London, Stray Cats met producer Dave Edmunds, well known as a roots rock enthusiast for his work with Rockpile and as a solo artist. Edmunds offered to work with the group, and they entered the studio to record their self-titled debut album, Stray Cats, released in England in 1981 on Arista Records. They were popular immediately, scoring three straight hits that year with "Runaway Boys," "Rock This Town," and "Stray Cat Strut." the follow-up to Stray Cats, Gonna Ball, was not as well-received, and was stung by the negative reviews. Stray Cats returned to the United States, signed with EMI America, and in 1982 released Built for Speed, a combination of their earlier LPs. "Rock This Town" and "Stray Cat Strut" hit the top of the American charts thanks to MTV airplay. The follow-up, Rant N' Rave With The Stray Cats, was almost as successful.
Helped by extensive airplay on the newly-launched MTV, "Rock This Town" and "Stray Cat Strut" both hit the American Top Ten, over a year after their British chart peaks. As a result, Built for Speed was a left-field smash, and Stray Cats was seen as an avatar of retro style. Their second American album, Rant N' Rave With The Stray Cats, appeared in 1983 and produced another Top Ten hit in "(She's) Sexy + 17," as well as a minor Top 40 entry in the doo wop-styled ballad "I Won't Stand in Your Way." Personality conflicts began to emerge in the ways that the individual members handled their new-found success; Phantom married actress Britt Ekland, while Setzer made guest appearances with stars like Bob Dylan and Stevie Nicks and became the concert guitarist for Robert Plant's Honeydrippers side project. In late 1984, Setzer broke up the band amid much bad blood.
Rocker and Phantom formed a trio called Phantom Rocker & Slick (the "Slick" being former David Bowie guitarist Earl Slick), while Setzer went on to a solo career, exchanging his rockabilly focus for a more wide-ranging roots rock/Americana sound on albums such as 1986's The Knife Feels Like Justice.
In 1986, Stray Cats got back together in Los Angeles, and recorded the covers-heavy Rock Therapy, which sold poorly. In 1989, they reunited once again for the album Blast Off, which was accompanied by a tour with Stevie Ray Vaughan. No longer with EMI America, they entered the studio with Nile Rodgers for the lackluster Let's Go Faster, issued by Liberation in 1990. 1992's Dave Edmunds-produced Choo Choo Hot Fish also attracted little attention, and after another covers album, Original Cool, the group called it quits again.
However, after a dozen years apart, Stray Cats reunited for a month-long tour of Europe in 2004. A live album culled from those concerts, Rumble In Brixton, included one new studio track, "Mystery Train Kept A Rollin'."
In summer 2007, they will tour the USA, with ZZ Top and The Pretenders.[1]
Stray Cats have reunited periodically for live performances.
Setzer is still part of his 1990s swing-revival band The Brian Setzer Orchestra. Rocker and Phantom went on to form Swing Cats as well as releasing some solo material. Slim Jim Phantom also plays the drums in another rockabilly band 13 Cats, as well as the Rock and Roll band The Head Cat with Lemmy (Motörhead) and Danny B. Harvey (13 Cats)
Brian Setzer has played a number of Gretsch guitars in various stages of modification and customization throughout his career including a signature model produced by Gretsch in the 1990s.He has Seven Grammy nominations.
They were inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame on October 15, 2006.
