Mara went to School with me & grew up in my neighborhood. Although Mara & I did not hang out in the same crowd she was as beautiful then as she is now. Congratulations on your success.

I am a big "Girlfriends" TV Show fan. As such, I have always been curious about the set and the fashion...

For example, I am an artist, and I LOVE just about every SINGLE painting in the show!! Seriously, whoever is in charge of the artwork there, is UBER-TALENTED and I would give my right arm to have one of MY paintings shown on that show! (I also would give my right arm to GET one of the paintings on that show!) THe painting outside of Joan's office *(back when she was a lawyer), that hung behind Maya's reception desk is a killer! Then, of course, the paintings IN Joan's office were phenomenal too! I liked the one behind Joan's desk better than the one across from it, but they're still both great!

Then, of course, there's the little details in Joan's house - especially her shelving unit across from her couch. The little objets d'art that decorate the unit are stunningly beautiful and so eloquently appointed. I also love the African American wood sculptures that decorate her place.

OH, and how about that incredibly wonderful round or octagon (apothecary?) table near her patio, with all those great little drawers in it? OH MAN, HOW I LOVE THAT PIECE!! (I'm sure that cost a bundle!)

Let's not forget the "J-Spot" restaurant - there's some fantastic copper-colored square art paintings that hang at the bar that are just really cool!

Oh, how I'd love to have the "Girlfriends" set decorator decorate my place! Can someone please PLEASE tell me who the set decorator is? Is it Mara?

Also, can you tell me where I might find objects similar to the art that fills Joan's entertainment center? Remember, I'm a starving artist, and don't have much money to spend!

Any help here would be GREATLY appreciated!
