On a recent vacation to Alaska, I met "Margaret." She sat in front of me on a bus tour of Denali National Park. Her younger son sat with her, her husband and older son sat further back. We talked, joked, laughed - and I had no idea who she was (or her huband). At one stop, I was talking with her and another "Margaret." I asked her where she was from, what she did - just general talk. She said that she and her husband were "both actors." A more gracious lady I have never met. It was only after we got to our lodge and they came in with their sons. The servers recognized them, but no one made a fuss. They were just a family on vaction. She was very affectionate with her sons, and laughed a lot. I have since looked her up on the internet and am astounded that I did no know who they were, but on the other hand, I'm glad I didn't. They were just an American family on vaction and probably enjoyed being anonymous for a bit. It was my pleasure to have shared a bus ride with her.
