Am mostly familiar with her work as Lara Means in the second season (1997-98)of the TV series, "Millennium," which I am watching on DVD. Immediately, she made an impression on me. This was, in part, because of the curious character she played. But I liked the way she embodied that part, giving it some edges that another actress might have missed. I'm never quite sure how she'll react in a situation (this is good): whether she'll let loose with a "Well, here's my thing...;" be frozen in awe & fear when she suddenly sights her angel (not a goody goody one, seemingly); or delves into her own loneliness. A complex character which she made her own - and in not that many episodes. I also like her interaction with Lance Henriksen's Frank Black. There's chemistry there - but of what nature? A work buddy for Frank, or something more, in that they both shares visions that are not easy to bear? Something sexual? Will she be co-opted into the Millennium group, or not? Many questions due not only to the fine writing, but also to Ms. Cloke's ability to put across Lara Means. I'll be watching out for her work from now on. I see that her TV series from the mid-90s, Space: Above & Beyond (a program with which I was not familiar when it aired), is available on DVD. Hmm....
