Currently living with French writer Jean-Jacques Schuhl, who has written a book entitled "Ingrid Caven" (not a biography!) which won the prestigious "Prix Goncourt" 2000. Member of the jury at the Berlin International Film Festival in 1979 Sister of opera singer Trudeliese Schmidt.
