New Zealand-born, Australia-raised, US-educated, a child of Russian/Jewish immigrants Gabrielle had her first taste of the film and television experience at the age of 12 when she was invited to appear on Double Dare - a popular young teen television program in Australia at the time. Her intensive acting training and performance awards followed. Upon her arrival in the US, Gabrielle was admitted to the Boston University School of Film and Television, where she further developed her skills as a screenwriter and director. Her debut as writer/director occurred in 2004, when she made All or Nothing: A Moscow Detour (2004), which scored several festival awards and earned Gabrielee a status of "one of the best young filmmakers today".
