Alba is one of nine siblings, born in Brooklyn New York. She attended schools around the world and quickly learned to adjust to different cultures and acquired a facility for foreign languages. She began her career as a dancer and actress performing in numerous venues in New York City, including the Joyce Theater in Soho and featured in James L. Brooks, "As Good As it Gets". She went to Los Angeles, where she was cast in Scott Kalvert's "Deuces Wild", while studying acting and classical theater with Ellen Geer at The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum, and later with Howard Fine. When she returned to New York City, Alba completed a two-year acting intensive training program with William Esper at The William Esper Studio. Following her graduation she was selected to attend the Master Class in Theater at South Hampton College taught by Alec Baldwin. While in New York she also worked as a stunt woman, in Anne Fletcher's "Step Up", NBC's "Law & Order" and John Avnet's "Righteous Kill". Alba has recently created her own independent production company, Magicsleep Productions. Where she wrote and directed Posttags, a story of a soldier with post-traumatic stress disorder, struggling to retain his sanity and survive in New York City. She's in post-production on a documentary she also directed titled RioRoach about surviving in the slums of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. This is the second film in the two-part documentary series titled GlobalRoach, the first film NYRoach, is a documentary dealing with the underground nightlife in New York City. She has also founded, and performs with the New York-based dance company Fleur De Lis Dance: a dance company which brings a modern twist to traditional burlesque, with styles including everything from Fosse and tango, to samba and reggae. Alba is also a Member of The Incumbo Theater Company: a New York City Not-For-Profit Theater Company.
