Michelle Mary Schaefer was born in Baltimore Maryland, to Mary and John Schaefer. Michelle had lost her hearing at 3 days old, but it didn't stop her dreams of becoming an actress like her friend, and role model, Marlee Matlin. Michelle knew that she wanted to be an actress ever since she was 4 years old watching "Full House" and seeing Marlee Matlin for the first time in "Children of a Lesser God." Michelle told herself if Marlee can act then I can! However Michelle's first play was Hiawatha as a snake, in which her first lines was "Go back go back." She was very proud of that line, it gave her strength and courage to be up on stage performing. Performing is another way of expressing herself.Performing is not only what she does, however. She also write scripts and plays sports such as soccer, basketball and softball. Her first real big break was playing Sarah Norman in a production of "Children of a Lesser God". She was named the actress of the year and been interviewed for three different newspapers and was the cover story for Fox 45 news in Baltimore, Maryland. Her education included Carver Center for Arts and Tech. as a Business Major (to have a back up if acting doesn't allow her to make living) Community College of Baltimore County - Theatre and Film Major (has AA Degree and National Associate School of Theatre). Now attending University of Baltimore, majoring in Corporate Communication for a BS degree. While she is attending to University of Baltimore she will be acting on the side when there are roles opportunities for her.
