Alice was born and raised in New York City. After seeing "Man of La Mancha" at the age of 10 at a theater, she wanted to become an actress herself. She participated in many theater plays in elementary and high-school and received a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from Hunter College. Already during college she gained success in several productions. After graduation - while supporting herself as bartender - she appeared in numerous off-off Broadway productions including "Soho, They Call It", "Visions of Kerouac", and "Fringe Benefits". She made her film debut in "Mission Hill" in 1981, a low-budget film that won many awards and can still be seen on cable television. Since 1984 she's been doing several New York TV serials, including "As the World Turns" (1956) and "Ryan's Hope" (1975).
