Born in Runaway, St-Annes, Jamaica, Samantha came to Canada at the early age of 5. She grew up in Ottawa, Ontario and attended College in Toronto. Pushed by the love of acting and sheer determination, she won the lead role in her high-school musical, 'Putting it Together'. After spending several years auditioning in Canada and not getting the opportunities, she moved to Los Angeles to study with world-acclaimed acting teacher, Howard Fine. While studying in Los Angeles, she landed a principal role in Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002), with George Clooney and Sam Rockwell.
